Travel bookings begin with a timetable rather than a clock time. A flight lands at Heathrow, a Eurostar pulls into St Pancras, a train leaves Marylebone for Oxford at ten. Tell Clementine what you are catching, or what you have just caught, and the booking is built around it.
Oxford Street is unusually well placed for this. The Elizabeth line runs from Heathrow straight to Bond Street and Tottenham Court Road in well under an hour. The Victoria line links Oxford Circus to King's Cross St Pancras and to Victoria for the Gatwick Express. Marylebone station, a short walk from Baker Street, sends trains to Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham.

Landing nights in W1
The most common travel booking is also the simplest. You land in the afternoon or evening, ride the Elizabeth line into Bond Street, and want company for the first night rather than a hotel bar on your own. Send your flight number and hotel when you book. Clementine follows the arrival time and your companion sets off once you are through the barriers, so she reaches your room shortly after you do. Staying at the airport instead
If your hotel is at Heathrow or Gatwick, the booking has a three hour minimum, at £700, and her travel time sits inside those three hours rather than on top of them. The confirmation shows one total before you agree. Flying out at dawn? Many guests prefer to sleep in W1 and catch the first Elizabeth line train, which keeps the evening central and the choice of names wider.
A work trip with one evening spare
Many travel bookings are nothing more exotic than a business trip with a free night in the middle. The meetings finish at six near Bond Street or in Fitzrovia, the hotel is five minutes away, and the evening is otherwise empty. Book two or three hours from seven and the trip ends with a dinner worth remembering instead of room service and a laptop.
Trains out of town
Some guests take a companion with them. Oxford is roughly an hour from Marylebone station, which makes a day among the colleges, a long lunch and the train back an easy plan. Stratford-upon-Avon is served from the same station, for a play and a night away. From St Pancras, the Eurostar opens up Paris or Brussels for a weekend. Any trip beyond London gets a written quote first, with her fares and her time combined in one figure, and nothing is fixed until you accept it. Weekends are priced on request.

Good company on the move

After a long flight, keep it short
Jet lag changes what a good evening looks like. Most guests arriving from far away want something brief and gentle: two hours, a quiet dinner in the hotel, an early night. Book that first, then something longer later in the week once you have slept. If the weather turns, a long lunch under the roof at Selfridges keeps a daytime plan warm and dry. Travel companion, explained
It is usually easier to meet at your hotel or at the Elizabeth line station in central London, where neither of you is searching a crowd. For trips away, the meeting point is agreed in the chat.
King's Cross St Pancras is a few stops from Oxford Circus on the Victoria line, so she can usually reach a W1 hotel close to the time you do. Send the train number and she times her journey around it.
You do, and they are part of the written quote, so nothing is left to settle later. Her fee covers her time; tickets and tables are part of the plan you agree together.
If you are staying at an airport hotel, yes. The three hour minimum applies, her journey is counted within it, and the confirmation shows the single total before you commit.
