The W1 window: escorts for every district in the postcode

W1 is the West End's postcode. It runs from Marble Arch in the west to Tottenham Court Road in the east, and from Piccadilly in the south up to the Marylebone Road, with Oxford Street cutting straight through the middle. A remarkable share of London's hotels, restaurants and shops sit inside it.

This page is the hub for all of it. Every district listed below gets a page of its own, naming hotels, walking minutes and the nearest companions; the terms here hold everywhere in W1.

How the postcode divides

W1 splits into lettered sectors. W1H is Marble Arch, W1U and W1G are Marylebone, W1W is the Great Portland Street grid and W1T is Fitzrovia. W1B covers Regent Street and Oxford Circus, W1S the Bond Street end of Mayfair, W1K and W1J the rest of Mayfair, and W1D and W1F make up Soho. Mayfair and Soho are covered on exactly the same terms, although this site keeps its own pages to the northern half. You never need the sector to book: a street and a hotel name are plenty.

The district pages

Oxford Street itself, with its hotels at either end. Marble Arch and the hotel cluster by the park. Bond Street and the jewellers' quarter. Oxford Circus and the Regent Street hotels. Tottenham Court Road, the eastern junction. Marylebone, the village north of the shops, with Baker Street at its western edge. Fitzrovia and Great Portland Street, the quieter grid above the Circus. Just outside the postcode, in NW1, Regent's Park has a page of its own.

One set of terms for the whole postcode

Every W1 address lies in Zone 1, which means no travel is ever added. Prices start at £250 for sixty minutes and top out at £1,800 for the overnight of ten hours, with the four-hour dinner date at £900 in between; the rates page lists each length. Arrival on a typical evening takes less than an hour from confirmation. Clementine verifies the reservation name and room a single time, and you pay the companion directly when she comes in.

Five hotels that show the range

Claridge's in Mayfair, The Langham in Marylebone, The Ritz on Piccadilly, Charlotte Street Hotel in Fitzrovia and The Soho Hotel on Richmond Mews show how wide the postcode's choice runs, from gilded grandeur to small and stylish. They are landmarks, not partners, and every other W1 hotel or private address is just as welcome.

Who lives inside W1
